Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Taiwan


The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), originally established as the National Science Council (NSC), Executive Yuan on February 1, 1959, is the government agency dedicated to scientific and technological development. Its three main missions are promoting nationwide S&T development, supporting academic research, and developing science parks.

Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (FORTE), Sweden


Forte is a government agency under the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. Its operations are guided by governmental directives and an annual letter of appropriation. On behalf of the government Forte initiate, finance, evaluate and communicate research in the areas of health, working life and welfare.

Research funding
Forte distributes around SEK 700 million every year to both basic and needs-driven research. This ranges from individual project grants to larger efforts to build world-class research environments. Forte also works actively to stimulate international research collaborations, both within the EU and worldwide.
